Fu lu shou complex is a well-known place for vegetarian food. Almost 3/4 of the building is selling vegetarian food.
Level 2 consists of create lifestyle cafe, pinetree cafe and piao xiang vegetarian food. Looking at the number of customers in each outlet, i can roughly gauge how good is their food. I choose the outlet which has the most customers. Initially i went to create healthy lifestyle cafe but due to the limited dishes being offered and the brown rice set is not to my liking, i went over to pinetree cafe. It is actually 2 shops, both under the same company. Due to space constaints, they have to locate themselves separately in another shop.
Menu itself quite extensive. They have desserts, cakes, pizzas, hakka lei cha...etc. I had the yong tau foo and a bowl of brown rice. I like yong tau foo as i can pick a variety of each to try. I chose mostly veggies, eggplants and a beancurd-like roll wrapped with budock and carrots. It cost $4 for 8 items and a bowl of brown rice... simply worth it! The staff is so friendly and even serve the yong tau foo to me, my requests are all fufilled. This is what i call customer service.
The yong tau foo is quite good, especially the beancurd-like roll wrapped with budock, it taste quite special. The sauce that accompanies the yong tau foo is good too.
Overall, i think it's worth coming back again... ESPCIALLY for the hospitality.
